Custom backgrounds on search index

Today Google has added a very nice feature to their search index page. The ability to select a background image for their search index page. Or if you want you can add your own from your machine, or if you have one, your picasa account.

If you want to change the background image, there is a link in the bottom left of the page. I’ve cropped the above screen shots just above that link though. There are a lot of nice images to pick from already, so I think there is something there for everyone. Personally I’ve gone with the Golden Gate Bridge image above. What have other people chosen?

  1. I think it’s great that I can use my photo’s from holiday I’ve uploaded to picasa as my google search wallpaper.

One improvement for me would be to have an option to select more then one image and have them rotate randomly when I visit the page.
